The Jenny introduced Americans to the Age of Aviation. Thousands of Army and Navy pilots earned their wings in this trainer during World War I. The Jenny was never used in combat, and after the war, the surplus aircraft were converted to civilian use. The selling price was around 300. dollars and pilots used them for barnstorming the country, thrilling crowds of spectators at air shows. |
